Every Wedding/Civil Partnerships held on our vessel 'LB Hardfeet' is different.

If you are thinking of our venue for your reception, please contact us to discuss your requirements and how our unique space can work for your special day.

Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions to help you. Our Frequently Asked Question section has losts of helpful information and all booking are subject to our Terms and Conditions

What options do you offer?
Our Full Boat Charter Options section will give you a good start. Some of our couples will go for a traditional Wedding Breakfast menu, others go for alternatives options such as Afternoon Tea or Pie and Pea Options. Its your day so we work with you to help make it unique and special for you and your guests

How Many guests can I have?
Depending on your chosen cruise option our maximum total of guests is 70, our minimum hire fee is for 20 guests. Each of the options on the Full Boat Charter Section gives a maximum number.

I only have a small number of guests, but I would still like the boat for just our party?
No problem, we have a minimum charge 20 guest, we do not mind if you have less.

Can I hire the venue for all day?
Of course, we work with you, e.g. sometimes it is to accommodate a day and then an evening guest list or you need time for a blessing at the start of the cruise, just contact us to discuss.

Can we leave items on the boat to be picked up on an alternative day?
As you can appreciate we do not have very much storage space, so we would normally suggest to arrange for one of the guests to take presents/decorations etc for you. If we do allow you to leave items on the boat these need to be picked by arrangement in advance and we are not liable for them whilst on our property. Any items left for longer than a month will be classed as lost property and disposed of as per our terms and condition of hire.

Can we bring a cake, and have it delivered in advance?
Of course, you can bring a cake, please no fresh cream as due to limited space we do not have anywhere to store, our fridges are full of food items for our cruises.
If having a cake delivered this must be at a prearranged time, based on the availability of the vessel before your cruise. We have no-where to store them.

Can we park our wedding cars/bus on the Quayside?
You are welcome to arranged to be dropped off at the boat, although the Quays is a restricted parking area the cars/bus etc can stay long enough for photo opportunities. If they need to stay to pick you up after your cruise, please contact us to discuss your requirements and how we can help. Parking for cars is available in the public car park on site a charge is payable.

Can I have a drinks package?
This can be arranged in advance; we can quote once we know your requirements

Our Frequently Asked Question section is also helpful or contact us for more information

Can I get married on the boat?
We are happy to host your wedding/civil partnership reception aboard the boat, however at this time you are unable to get married aboard a boat on Britain’s waterways. Unless the boat owners can meet certain requirements i.e. the boat can’t move from its mooring ever!, Where would the fun of a party on a boat be if you just can’t cruise.

You can however arrange to have a blessing or a humanist ceremony, provided you have done the legal bit at the registry office first.

Can we/you decorate the boat?
The quick answer is Yes of course. We have hooks for balloons and bunting. If putting up pictures or posters please use blue/white tack. No Sellotape or pins to be used please.

Normally we say you can arrive an hour before your cruise to decorate but we realise for weddings/civil partnerships this is not always possible and it can take a little longer, but we can be flexible but still need to work round other booking on the day.

We do not provide the decoration we leave that fun to yourselves, but if no one in your party can come down to decorate, our staff can provide this service based on an hourly rate charge. Items for decoration can be left at a pre-arranged time.

If having a 3rd party to decorate the boat, for example chair covers or flowers, again we can accommodate this subject to availability around other bookings.
